Bio

I'm a 24 year old brazilian photographer, based in Porto Alegre, a town of 1.5 million in southern Brazil. My main theme in photography is people, and I specialize in advertising and stock photography.

I have been shooting since 1998, which lead me to take, in 1999, a Fine Arts bachelor's degree, with concentration in Photography. One year later, I started working as a photojournalism trainee at the Rio Grande do Sul State Government press assessorship, where I worked for 2 years, and also learned a lot about B&W darkroom and archiving. In 2001 I created, with some photographer friends, a website called Super Sexies - The Photographing Ladies Society, at www.supersexies.org. This site is mostly about shooting each other and our friends in costumes and funny places and creating stories in 15 pictures sets. With time, the sets got nicer and fancier, and people we don't even know started wanting to pose.

In 2004, I started shotting girls for a www.suicidegirls.com, a website of alt-porn photography - meaning, naked girls with lots of tattoos and piercings. Later I became an official Suicide Girls photographer. You can find the sets I did here.

I already worked with a lot of different kinds of photography: journalistic, weddings, magazines, portraits, stock photography. I enjoy most of it, but what truly makes me happy is being able to gather models, plan and produce my pictures, and, in the end, putting some of myself in my pictures.

While I studied photography in college, I started working with web and interactive media projects, mainly as a designer, currently as a product manager for terra.com.
